Apply for a Borscht Short Film Commission!
Borscht is a collaborative of filmmakers telling Miami stories. We want you to join us, and share in our fun and funding.
Filmmakers may apply for grants to help them create a film (or media project) in, of, or about Miami. Applicants do not necessarily need to be living in or from Miami, but preference will be given to those based locally.
If selected, films may also be eligible for production support and other considerations.
All applications will be reviewed by a moderately qualified panel. Grants are administered on a rolling basis until April 15th, 2014 or until funding runs out, so the sooner you apply the better your chances. Either way, you will definitely hear from us by May 15th, 2014.
Borscht 0 will take place in December of 2014.
Previous recipients include When We Lived in Miami by Amy Seimetz, Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke by Jillian Mayer, Chlorophyl by Barry Jenkins, Adventures of Christopher Bosh in the Multiverse by Bleeding Palm, The Voice Thief by Adan Jodorowsky, Si Nos Dejan by Celia Rowlson-Hall, and many others.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our previous work at borschtcorp.com and consider if your project is right for us before you apply. Past recipients are encouraged to apply again.
Unfortunately submissions are not currently being accepted, but sign up for our mailing list to be notified of our next call for entries.
