THE HONEYMOON is part of an ongoing series of test videos that Celia Rowlson-Hall films by herself in motel rooms across the United States.
These test videos allow her to explore ideas and concepts she is working on and act as a rough sketch for future films.
Celia Rowlson-Hall created this film while in residence at LegalArt in Miami, FL in preparation for her film Si Nos Dejan for Borscht 8.
Celia Rowlson-Hall is a director, choreographer and Bessie Award winning performer. She has choreographed VMA and Webby Award winning music videos for MGMT, Chromeo, Sleigh Bells, Viceroy, Kid Sister, Sondre Lerche, Robert Delong, Erika Spring (Au Revoir Simone) as well as fashion commercials for Lee Jeans, Kate Spade, Jason Wu/Nordstroms, Vs. Magazine and others. She has performed in venues such as New Museum, PS1/MoMA, American Dance Festival, Jacob’s Pillow and the Joyce Theater. Her films have been screened in various capacites from festivals to department stores. Highlights include- SXSW, Bloomingdales, and Spring/Break for Armory Week.
