Viajero Miami Space Satellite

El Viajero is the first project from Borscht Space Ventures.

Modeled after NASA's Voyager and Voyager 2, El Viajero is an experimental satellite designed to carry a hard drive containing 305 GB of Miami culture in to space and out of the solar system.

Designed and constructed by a team of students at MAST Academy to last approximately 3 Billion years, the conceptual space vessel will launch at the end of summer 2014.

Anyone living in Miami is welcome to upload digital ephemera of up to 25 MBs, including but not limited to music, recorded messages, images, videos, writing, and coding in any language. Materials will only be censored if the uploaded is unable to verify their Miami residence.

Billions of years from now, when the sun has expanded, incinerating our planet and every trace of our species- and alien life forms that conveniently use USB drives find El Viajero, what should it show them? How should Miami be remembered?
