Borscht Visiting Filmmaker Residency

Filmmakers are welcome to apply for free residencies of up to two weeks for the purposes of research, writing, production, or post-production. All projects developed at the residency must engage Miami in some way.

Borscht HQ is located in an Old Florida house, just off Biscayne Boulevard north of the MiMo district.

It is ten minutes from Wynwood, fifteen minutes from South Beach and the airport, and walking distance to several restaurants and Biscayne Bay.

While the house is a functioning office space during the day, one of the rooms is a dedicated residency for visiting filmmakers. It isn't fancy but it is peaceful and has a private bathroom and shower. There is a large mango tree in the back with a swing on it, two (!) mini soccer goals, a trampoline, lots of room to work, and fire-ass wifi.

Residents will have access to various computer work stations with screenwriting, editing, and virtual reality software, and other shared work areas such as a small art studio.

Residents may also be eligible to receive an unlimited supply of cookies (sponsored by Om nom nom), transportation (sponsored by Car2Go), and a small stipend (in some cases).
